Rae Moses, owner of gigBasics.com has a lifetime of musical experience. Currently on staff at Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA), Rae is also the choral/vocal editor for a music publishing firm.

Additionally, Rae continues to gig professionally with the Kit Reid Orchestra, playing the top casual engagements in Houston, TX. (Check out www.kitreidorchestraandbands.com) Rae also serves as Musical Director for Class Act Productions (www.classactproductions.org), this last year conducting Les Mis, Annie, The Fantasticks and Oliver!

Rae studied piano with Luis Castro at TCU and Dr. John Paul at Sam Houston State University. He also studied conducting with the renowned Dr. Bev Henson while completing graduate work at SHSU.

Rae’s musical career has been as extensive as it has been varied. While in Klein, TX his HS Girls Choir was selected to perform an Honor Concert at the Texas Music Educators State Conference. In addition to teaching, Rae has served has clinician, adjudicator and accompanist for many regional and state honor choirs, including the 2005 Texas Choral Directors Middle School Honor Choir.

He is a published composer with choral works in the catalogs of Southern Music, Hal Leonard, and BriLee Music. Rae has spent numerous hours in the studio and is heard on selected works including children’s music artist Joe Scruggs, the Air National Guard, and the first commercial on Saudi TV on behalf of American Rice.

Rae has been the guest soloist with various symphonies including the Amarillo Symphony, Beaumont Symphony and El Paso Symphony as a winner of the International Young Artist Competition. Rae has shared the stage over the years while performing with stars like James Darren, Bobby Vinton, Rich Little, Dionne Warwick and Kathy Young.

I have been a working musician for many years. I am a keyboard player and composer/conductor. I do some desktop music production as well and have always worked on the Mac platform. I have the opportunity to work with many different musicians and keep my ears open about gear that makes a difference.
